Saturday Binging | What I Love to Watch

OOH. I only started this fairly recently and I am hooked. This is so my kind of thing and I’m loving every minute. One of America’s most wanted criminals, Red, joins forces with the FBI to banish all of the people on his ‘blacklist’, as they are criminals that the FBI will, too, want to catch. There’s lots of guns and explosions and action which I have to say, isn’t really my kind of thing usually but this is great. Plus, there’s loads of storylines intertwined into one and it is impossible to be bored. The only annoying thing is that I told Charlie about it so now I can’t watch it without him. Ugh, relationships ay?

Couldn’t be more different from The Blacklist if it tried. Four In A Bed is one of those shows that’s so rubbish that it’s good. I just have to know what happens next and who wins. Four hotel or B&B owners take part in a competition to see which accommodation is the best value for money by staying in a room supplied by each member and rating them on various things. It’s such a simple concept but I love watching it. Plus, there’s always that bitchy person that tries to score everyone badly and be petty so that they win. There’s usually arguments. Each episode focuses on one hotel and there’s four in one competition, which means four hours of binging. Then there’s the final episode for them all to have it out and see who wins, so if you’re looking to pass five hours, this is a solid contender.

I absolutely adore David Attenborough. When I was horrendously anxious I used to watch his Blue Planet over and over again and it worked every time. I particularly like the ones based in oceans but anything will do really. I find it absolutely fascinating. Upon watching his most recent Planet Earth series I found myself shouting at the television for those poor baby turtles being misled by man-made light. They were travelling in the opposite direction of the sea, towards towns, and being crushed by vehicles and falling into drains because they were following the light. As I love turtles, this was not ok with me. Anyway, yep, love David Attenborough.

Another silly one. This is a comedy show, I guess you’d call it a game show, in which the (famous) panel has to work out who is lying as they each deliver ridiculous statements. My favourite thing about this is Rob Brydon, I think he’s fantastic!

I cannot wait for this to come back. The last ever season will be airing in April and I can’t bloody wait. When I first discovered it I watched it at every waking opportunity. When it comes back and I have to wait a week for each new episode, how will I manage?! If you’re unfamiliar with this, it’s about a group of friends whose lives are followed by a mysterious being called ‘A’ after one member of the group Alison, dies. I don’t want to say anymore because it might give things away. It’s a great watch but it’s quite addictive. I am desperate to know who A is.

I do love a good documentary. I particularly enjoy the prison ones.

Also on a Louis Theroux binge at the moment! Love a bit of Four in a Bed too, although it’s been ages since I watched it.
