I hate dry lips. It makes lipstick look rubbish and it just feels yucky. So as you can probably imagine, I’m a big lover of a good old lip balm.
Dr. PAWPAW sent me three different types:
Original Balm – ‘for lips, skin, hair and beauty finishing, cuticles and nails’
Tinted Peach Pink Balm – ‘for lips, cheeks and cosmetic finishing’
Tinted Ultimate Red Balm – ‘for lips, cheeks and cosmetic finishing’
Now whilst all these are more than lip balms and can be used for other things, the thing I’m using them for at the moment is lip balms. What I love about these is that I can put them over the top of my lipstick (unless I’m wearing matte) without it ruining it – it actually adds to it. If I’m wearing a pink shade, I wear the pink balm. If I’m wearing a red shade, I wear the red balm. Any other shades, I use the original balm!
These are super moisturising and, containing pawpaw and olive oil, actually aid skin repair. So whilst adding moisture to dry lips you’re helping to repair broken skin, too, rather than just masking it. These balms are full of vitamins and minerals whilst being free from alcohol (also cruelty free).
I’m thinking about using the original balm as a primer – has anyone tried this? I’d be interested to know.
